We Make Every Dollar Count!

The Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center is an agency that offers so much to the community — from families and children, to support services for the elderly and people with special needs. Our agency is filled with remarkable people, devoted volunteers and a wide array of year-round programs, activities and special events.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

The vast majority of our funds are raised through membership fees, program fees and donations from supporters and philanthropists like you. While we have much to be proud of, we still need a lot of help. In addition to funding some of our necessary services and programs, we are currently very challenged by our aging facility. Our Capital Campaign has raised enough funds to make emergency and necessary repairs but we must continue the upgrades to the facility and grounds.

The success stories to date are:

• The Edwin & Shirley Woldar Family Foundation Indoor Pool

• The Joshua A. Sason Gymnasium

• The Harriet & Bruce Nuzie Indoor Track

• Ladies sand Men’s Locker Room

• The Ilene Porter Outdoor Nature Classroom

• Children’s Playground

• Skeist-Hadar Fitness Center

• Repair of Parking Lot

• The Roth Family Multi-Purpose Room

At this time we are working on raising funds for the following projects:

• Renovation of Auditorium A & B

• Building a new Children’s Outdoor Pool

• Handicapped Accessibility for the Entire Building

• Infrastructure Modernization

• WiFi accessibility in the entire building

Dedication and naming opportunities are available for gifts at some giving levels.

ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

In order for our programs to continue to operate and for us to open our doors each day, our Annual Campaign is a necessity for our agency to function and is our primary source of unrestricted contributed income. Please join us!
