Sara received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes work with seniors, adults, children, families and individuals with special needs. She also has extensive involvement in community organizing and volunteerism. When she’s not working, Sara loves to cook, bake and spend time with her family. Sara has a special place in her heart for the senior population and is thrilled to be a part of the Mid-Island Y JCC family.
Alana comes to the JCC with 11 years of geriatric experience with the Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation, where she served as Director of Early-Stage Programs. Alana's goals for the NNORC programs include growing the number of seniors in Plainview and Old-Bethpage receiving the NNORC's free supportive services, and expanding the NNORC's vital volunteer program.
Hillary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who obtained her Master’s degree from Columbia University in 2007. Her professional experience includes social work in a medical setting as well as in the community, working with patients and families with life limiting illnesses. Hillary is excited to continue her direct practice work with adults in the community and expand her skill set with new opportunities as part of the Adult and Social Services team.
Shanee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who obtained her Master’s Degree from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 2012. Her professional experience includes working with seniors, adults, and teens and their families; medical social work; and doing outreach and programming within the Jewish community. Shanee is excited to be a part of the Mid-Island Y family where she will be able to combine her passions for working directly with clients and connecting with the broader community.
Meagan received her MSW from Fordham University. She began her career at the New York City Department for the Aging, where she worked in research as well as with the elder abuse unit. Through her time there she grew a passion for assisting the elder population with social, psychological, and economic issues.
Beverly received her BA in Education and her MS in Health and Physiology. She started out teaching High School in NYC before starting her family.After moving to Long Island, she started working at the Mid-Island Y JCC, developing the toddler/mommy & me classes, and then worked in a variety of departments, including Children’s Services, Jewish Education and Cultural Arts. Additionally, she worked at Camp Kindering, finally serving as the Camp Director for three summers. Beverly then ended up as the Assistant Director of our Adult Center.
Debra has spent more than twenty years working with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients at the Mid-Island Y JCC and the Komanoff Center for Geriatric and Rehabilitative Medicine. She specializes in meeting the individual needs of her clients through personal interactions, art and music therapies.
Bonnie is excited to be a part of the Adult Center & Social Services team. She has been a part of the Early Childhood family since 2014 as a parent. One of her daughters is a pre-school graduate, and one is currently enrolled. Bonnie has an extensive background in marketing and advertising. In her free time, Bonnie loves to bake and craft with her daughters.

Abe is the office assistant for POB Cares and Project PACE. He received a Fellow Award in Credit Management from The Now York Institute of Credit. He’s a retired Credit Analyst with the world’s largest factor, The CIT Group Commercial Services.
Ann graduated from Adelphi University School of Nursing and began her career at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She gained much experience in a variety of positions at Mt. Sinai including pediatrics, ICU, and oncology. Ann has been working for Northwell Health System for the past 20 years in Case Management, Home Care and Quality Management. Ann is thrilled to back at the Mid Island YJCC where she worked in Early Childhood over 30 years ago; she feels that she has now “come full circle.”
