Building Future Leaders (BFL) – Grades 6-8
Building future leaders is a great way for your child to get involved in the community and complete those Bar/Bat Mitzvah community service hours. Meetings are once a month and include leadership building, teamwork and interpersonal skill development. Once teens graduate from BFL, they are automatically accepted into Teens as Leaders, our High School leadership program. For more information, call Harrison Peck at x361
Crossing Borders: Connecting Continents…Connecting Communities
Crossing Borders, a JCC Program funded by Partnership 2000, enables teens to explore their Jewish identity through exercises, leadership training, and interaction with fellow teens in Israel. The teens have been talking, emailing and sharing experiences with each other since October of 2004. This is an exciting intercontinental and intercultural program, with the possibility to travel to Israel. An interview is required. For more information, call Gayle at x324
Teens As Leaders (TAL) - Grades 9-12
TAL is a leadership training program for socially conscious, forward-thinking, and motivated teenagers. Meetings are held Sundays from 5-6:30 pm twice a month and consist of leadership exercises, group discussions, and guest speakers. All participants must perform community service hours and take part in Mitzvah Days planned throughout the school year. An interview is required for acceptance into this program. Enrollment for this full year program is accepted only in the fall.

Volunteer Corps - Grades 6-12
For teens looking to give back to their community all year round. Come to one of our three training sessions to learn how to volunteer for different populations in our community including children of all ages, the elderly, and children with special needs. Work on skills such as public speaking, leadership training, basic first aid, and working as a team. Training includes handbook, staff training, and refreshments. Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate and be added to our volunteer e-mail list. We will then notify you of volunteer opportunities throughout the year by e-mail.
Please call Harrison at x361 for more information or to register for a training session.
