Youth Programs Ages K-6

The Learning Center
Are you overwhelmed when you try to help your child study? The Mid-Island Y JCC‘S Learning Center is your answer. All classes are taught by New York State certified teachers. Students in grades K-12 are welcome to join this completely customizable experience tailored to meet the needs of your child and their schedule. Second Home Daycare
Second Home Daycare offers before and after school daycare to all Plainview and select Syosset schools. We offer transportation to and from school every day we are open and school is in session. While in Second Home Daycare your child can expect to receive homework help, an escort to and from after school classes in the building, and our own after school activities including; cooking, arts and crafts, gym time, fun and games, computers, and much more. After School Programs
The Mid-Island Y JCC offers many enriching after school programs and classes for the community. Our classes offer specialized instruction for children who want to experience new programs or build on skills they already have. Some of our classes available are for:

Hebrew School Shuttle
The Mid-Island Y JCC offers transportation after school to Hebrew Schools in Plainview for children in all Plainview and select Syosset schools. We will pick your child up after school, give them a snack, and then shuttle them to Hebrew School in the afternoon Monday-Thursday.

Current Hebrew Schools we shuttle to:
• Temple Chaverim
• Manetto Hill Jewish Center
• Plainview Jewish Center
• Temple Beth Elohim
• Midway Jewish Center
• North Shore Jewish Center

The Mid Island Y JCC Israeli School
We welcome children from 4 years old and up and offer a child friendly education in Hebrew language art, Israeli culture and history, traditional Israeli music and holiday celebrations. Our goal is for our children to understand and stay connected to their heritage while connecting with their Jewish and Israeli roots.
