Tween Programs Grades 6-8

Are you overwhelmed when you try to help your child study? The Mid-Island Y JCC ‘S Learning Center is your answer. All classes are taught by New York State certified teachers. Regents Review
Give your kids an edge. Taught by NYS certified teachers, classes are designed as an intensive review of each subject’s material and test taking techniques. There is a maximum of 12 students per class and every student receives a review book. For a course listing click HERE.

ONE Day Regents Review
These classes are designed for the students that need a little help, but do not have alot of time. Click HERE for the schedule.

Better Babysitting
Learn techniques for interviewing, finding a job, handling discipline problems, basic first-aid and more! Fee includes a handbook, staff training and breakfast. Participants are required to attend both  sessions. Once completed, you will be added to our Better Babysitting Referral list.

GaGa
Similar to Dodge ball, this fun and exciting game is played in an octagonal pit. You will have to use all your senses and reflexes to win. Click here for schedule.


Club Saturday Night Out 
Join us for a Saturday night of fun! Choose from basketball and GaGa in the gym, games in the Teen Lounge and specials! Pre-registration is required. Click here for schedule.

Tween Scene
This group will help pre-teens identify their voice and develop a sense of self worth and self- confidence. Each meeting will consist of an activity and discussion. Boys and girls meet separately.
