Capital Campaign

Dear Friends and Members

For over 50 years, the Mid-Island Y JCC has stood as the center of the Jewish community for thousands of people who participate in our programs each year. The JCC has been and continues to be a place where we can gather, celebrate, learn, and laugh. It is the place where we can challenge and be challenged, and where we can reach out to each other bridging generations, abilities and disabilities. Our history has been filled with values that make us proud, moments to cherish, people to celebrate and accomplishments to champion. The achievements of our past are the result of the synergy of all who have worked so tirelessly to make us the vibrant and dynamic center we have become.

BUT, we are at a critical juncture in our history. We urgently need to renovate, repair, restore and expand our aging home so that we may continue to serve our current needs and meet the challenges of the future. As more fully described in this brochure, our fitness and exercise facilities require expansion, our changing rooms require renovation, our lobby must be modernized, our Early Childhood wing needs to be secure for our young people, our roof requires replacement, and our parking lot requires expansion and renovation.

AND, since we are more than bricks and mortar we must establish an endowment fund which will enable us to create the ongoing resources to support the current and future programs and services at the JCC. This fund will promote the message that all of us have the ability to make a difference in the lives of future Jewish generations.

To meet these needs, we have embarked on a Capital and Endowment Fund Campaign and through the generosity of our lead donors have already received significant commitments. While we know our goals are ambitious, we also know that with your help they are attainable, and more importantly, are essential to enable us to continue to serve our community with the range of programming so many have come to depend on us to provide.

Our mission is clear - our goals will be met through the participation of the entire community. Your partnership in this Capital Campaign is an investment in the present and the future. Please join us and help make this dream a reality so that the Mid-Island Y-JCC can continue to serve the needs of those young and old for many years to come. We look forward and celebrating all of our accomplishments together.
