Saturday Adler Center Programs:

Saturday Night Bowling Club Grades 5 and up: Socialize and enjoy dinner while bowling on teams with your friends. Participants will be grouped by age and/or ability. Pre-registration with fee required. Transportation not included.

9 sessions to take place on the 2nd saturday of the month from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.

Yes, I Can! : Friendship groups help preschoolers develop social skills and social awareness. Lessions include a social lession an art activity and free play. We focus on reading social cues, considering others feelings, using "your words," flexibilty, sharing, turn-taking, problem solving, connection, and cooperation. We will work with children and parents/caregivers to personalize the program and provide the proper support both at home and in school.This program provides a kosher, peanut/tree nut-free dairy lunch. Low child to staff ratio.

Exceptional Swim: "Our Exceptional Swim" program uses water education to develop water safety and swimming skills, and also focuses on developing self-confidence and self-esteem. The program is customized for each participant's emotional and developmental abilities. Participants in the Exceptional Swim class will recieve small group swim instruction with experienced American Red Cross certified swim instructors. Limited spots are available. Parent supervision is required.


Sunday Adler Center Programs Grades 1 to 8:

The S.A.G.E Program (Social Acheivement and Growth through Education): 
A social recreational program for children who are conversationally verbal, but have functioning deficits and/or focusing issues. Participants will continue to expand social skills, become better social thinkers and learn how to engage in large group activiteis in the community. Fine and gross motor skills are developed through arts and crafts, swim, sports, music and more! Field trips to places such as the public library, bowling and more will be planned. Includes a kosher, peanut/tree nut-free dairy lunch. Low child to staff ratio.

FUNday Selections: We put the FUN in FUNCTIONAL! This new program is designed for children who need a 1:2 or 1:1 environment. Focus will be on developing crucial independent living skills, as well as social skills needed to navigate home, school and community. Enjoy arts and crafts, music, swim, iPads and more. Participants will be grouped by age and ability. Occasional  field trips to local desitinations will help reinforce these skills in a natural environment. This program includes a kosher, peanut/tree nut-free dairy lunch. 

Swim and Stuff: Enjoy a swim in the pool as well as engage in a variety of leisure activities such as cooking, baking, drawing and more! Limited spots available. 

Yoga Star! : Yoga teaches children increased body awareness and relaction techniques through various movements and breathing exercises. Children learn to use yoga in many beneficial ways, as both a form of fitness and a calming activity. All poses are modified to fit the participant's needs. The class will focus on stretching, breathing and balance, along with some floor/mat work.

Music & Movement Therapy: A fun and exciting movement/dance class designed to encourage self-esteem, and develop fine and gross motor skills. Incorporates instruments, sining and movement!


Sunday Adler Center Programs Grades 7 to 12:

LIVE: Leadership & Independence Vocational Experience: LIVE will help young adults with autism and other disabilities develop vocational and social skills, gain meaningful wokr experience and become independent and fully integrated in their communities.

Teen P.A.L.S. (Positive Attitude and Life Skills): Now with more trips!! Teens will learn crucial social skills needed to succeed in the community while making lifelong friendships. Trips into the community will reinforce lessons learned in the classroom. Sample topics include learning how to plan a party from A to Z, community and cultural awareness, learning how to accept change, ordering at a restaurant and so much more. Includes a kosher, dairy, peanut/tree nut-free lunch. *Certain trips may incur an additional fee.

Fit and Fun: Variety is the key to success in this always fun fitness class. Our trained staff will help your child have a great time while exercising and learning about a healthy lifestyle. Co-ed class.


Weekday Programs Grades 1 and Up:

Friday After-School Fun! : Join us for an all-inclusive program consisting of sports, social skills, speech, art, iPads, music and theater. Small groups with individual attention! Groups will be divded by ability and age and integrated when possible.

Sessions to take place on Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm
