Family And Adult Center

Family And Adult Center
Families and adults in all stages of life can create their own personal experience at the JCC, whether they are interested in ongoing learning, health & wellness or socializing in a welcoming and comfortable environment. Our wide range of programs and services accommodate every age and interest.
Challenge your intellect with stimulating lectures, cultural experiences, Jewish education, or lively discussions about current events.
The Family and Adult Center engages individuals in the international language of art. Our artist sin residence create an atmosphere that encourages artistic expression to investigate our internal landscapes and beliefs, and has the power to unify, educate and can lift the spirit. All levels from hobbyists to accomplished artists, find their imagination challenged as they develop new skills or perfect current ones.
Exploring the cultural connections of the Jewish community and Jewish values, the Family and Adult Center provides enriching activities designed to expand and investigate Jewish heritage. We strive to create innovative and culturally sensitive programs for individuals and families so you can make connections within yourself and the community.
Families come in all shapes and sizes, and parenting develops across the life span. Modern families face the challenge of time and technology. Positive Parent Education, as well as social support for families struggling with everyday life is at the core of the Family and Adult Center.
Everyone needs a sense of purpose to give meaning to their lives. Today’s older adults are different than those of the past. They are computer savvy, independent and active. Older adults can change the way they age by staying active to the fullest extent possible. The Mid Island Y JCC seeks to engage adults in all aspects of life including physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social activities to stay involved, alert and enjoy a productive and healthy life.
Nowadays older adults are choosing to age in place. POB Neighborhood NORC (Naturally occurring retirement communities) engages the entire community through volunteer initiatives and professional services that allow our oldest and frailest residence to remain safe and sound at home.
